On April 20, 1876 at Oborishte Locality took The 1st Grand National Assembly, which ended with the decision to declare a revolt.
"April 20, 1876 Oborishte. 1st Great National Assembly. Here arrive at 10, 11, 12 and 13 April, 65 members of 58 committees. On the night of 13 arrives Benkovski. At dawn on April 14, the meeting was opened and was closed in the evening when there was rain and storm. The Assembly elected a Committee, which met on 15, 16 and 17 April and ended with the decision to declare a revolt."
