The spectacular monastery of Panagia Hozoviotissa is situated on the cliff side, 300 m above the sea level, northeast of Chora. It was built early in the second millennium in order to protect a religious icon, dating from the year 812, from intruders. The icon is on public display inside the monastery. Visitors have to be dressed decently in order to enter.
Osiou Grigoriou Monastery (Greek: Μονή Οσίου Γρηγορίου) is an Orthodox Christian monastery in the monastic state of Mount Athos in Greece. The monastery ranks seventeenth in the hierarchy of the Athonite monasteries. The monastery is built by the sea, on the southeastern side of the peninsula. The monastery is dedicated to Saint Nicholas.
Navagio Beach (Greek: Ναυάγιο), or Shipwreck Beach, is an exposed cove, sometimes referred to as Smugglers Cove, on the coast of Zakynthos, in the Ionian Islands of Greece. It has been so named since 1983, when the alleged smuggler ship Panagiotis was wrecked on the beach while transporting cigarettes. Navagio is located on the north-west shore of Zakynthos (Zante), in the Municipality of Elation.
