The Zemen Monastery (Bulgarian: Земенски манастир) is a Bulgarian Orthodox monastery located 1 kilometre away from Zemen in western Bulgaria. The monastery was established in the 11th century. It is rather small with a church, belfry and two other buildings. It is currently uninhabited. The church "St. John the Theologian" is a monument of culture with national significance.
Paro Taktsang is the popular name of Taktsang Palphug Monastery (also known as The Tiger Nest), a prominent Himalayan Buddhist sacred site and temple complex, located in the cliffside of the upper Paro valley, Bhutan. A temple complex was first built in 1692, around the Taktsang Senge Samdup cave where Guru Padmasambhava is said to have meditated for three years, three months, three weeks, three days and three hours in the 8th century.

It is located on the right bank of the Chepelare River, 189 km from Sofia and 10 km south of Asenovgrad, and is directly subordinate to the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.

The other two great monasteries are Sera Monastery and Drepung Monastery. Its full name is Ganden Namgyal Ling.
